Season 3 is the last we’ll see of Kenny Powers, played by Danny McBride, failed professional pitcher, foul-mouthed substitute teacher and delusional narcissist. Eastbound & Down‘s comedic style exists in that uncomfortable place where adults act like children and children act as props to add shock value. This aspect plays especially true in this trailer, where Powers calls a bunch of “poor” kids future “sex addicts,” and “coke whores.” While this is funny for a moment, this line of comedy is hard to sustain for a long period of time, hence this being the show’s final season. If you find the show funny, then you’ll love this trailer.
