ARCHER SEASON 3!!! WOOP WOOP! YEEHAA! Grab your popcorn and set your DVRs, because the best comedy on air is about to begin. Not to be bias, but this poster rocks. And not just because it gets current fans, such as myself, excited, but because of the details. Unlike other adult animations, such as South Park or The Simpsons, both very funny shows, Archer’s animation is based on realistic rendering. According to creator Adam Reed, each episode takes a couple of months to produce after the script is written, and includes two animation studios, one for the character animation and one for the 3D background modeling. The artistic style is so real, they’re often based on the real life movements of the actors, except for Archer, who resembles Don Draper and James Bond. (Yes, Archer is hot.)   What I love about this poster and the posters for season 1 and 2 is that this is the work of a real artist. Every single detail on this poster has an intended purpose–the parody of Star Wars, the cheetah, Pam drunk and shoeless, a bomb timer down to its last second.  The way Archer, Mallory and Lana pose sexily up front is also very vintage James Bond. And the tag, “Counterintelligence,” is hilarious. Archer is the kind of show you have to watch and re-watch or you’ll miss a joke. This poster is the same: look at it once, now look closer. I guarantee you missed something.
